What You Can Expect

The Festival will be hosted at the beautiful Fountain Valley School (FVS), a stunning 1,100-acre prairie campus nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs — approximately 80 miles south of Denver. It is a truly special setting and a worthy stage for the level of competition we are bringing together.

Air/ground travel stipend will be provided.
Airport transfers (athletes must arrive into Colorado Springs)
Room and board — double occupancy accommodations for the full week
Official team uniforms
Closing dinner to celebrate the conclusion of the tournament
$100 registration fee (the only cost to the athlete)
Four teams each led by a high-level coach
Highly experienced referees officiating all matches
Awards and medals presented at the conclusion of the event
USA Team Handball National Team Coaching Staff in attendance and scouting
Opportunities to connect with former Olympians, National Team players, and handball ambassadors

The Handball Festival

The Handball Futures Festival is an, Olympic-style showcase designed to bring together the top women handball athletes in the United States. Modeled after the Original Olympic Sport Festival, the event combines elite competition, community, and national-team exposure in one immersive experience.

Approximately 48 athletes will be selected. Over the course of the tournament, athletes will compete in a high-level tournament environment that mirrors international play—providing a rare opportunity to demonstrate their skills, growth, and readiness for the next level.

The Festival also serves as a key talent identification moment, with athletes evaluated and scouted by the Women’s National Team Coach. More than a tournament, the Festival is a celebration of women’s handball in the U.S.—strengthening the national pipeline, fostering connection across regions, and helping define the future of the sport.
